Vindicated(Formerly Resonate) is the base upon which I build all of my themes, allowing me to create a continuity between everything I put in the Play Store. It is also part of my personal obsession with making sure every app installed on my phone has a themed icon so that they all match. It has been a while since I published an update to the core theme and there are lots of new icons, the images above merely show the newest additions.
Newly Themed App Icons:
- AT&T Drive
- Polaris Office(The newest version)
- LG Tasks
- AT&T Family Maps(The newest version)
- Lux Dash
- Ninja SMS
- Evernote Food
- Wifi Analyzer
- Android Central
- Jo Frost Rewards
- My Firestone
- Volume Butler
Google Now is obviously a huge focal point for Google right now, and it’s surge of popularity lately coincides with the massive adoption rate of Jelly Bean in the consumer market. It seems at the same time the new design focus for graphical styling is flat design. Google Now’s subtle colors and light text have begun to bleed into other areas and are showing up all over the Android world in home screen layouts.
A few weeks ago I got a request on Twitter to make an APW Theme with the Google Now style, so I set to work on it right away. I thought it would be easy but as usual it’s not as easy as you’d think to make something look good and simple. I think it turned out pretty nice in the end, you can get it from the Google Play Store by following the link below.
Free iPhone Icons for Jailbroken Phones
I have been unable to do much for the iPhone since I have gone back to working full time at my old job. On top of that supporting my Android applications has been more than taking up the extra time I would have since anti piracy changes made to Jelly Bean by Google caused almost all my apps to break when downloaded through the Play Store. I made these Aluminescent Icons a while ago but have added a few new icons, hopefully you enjoy them.
These icons are for use in Winterboard in the var/stash/Themes directory. Make sure you have Summerboard mode turned on.
I have been working full time at my old job again since November I really haven’t had time to do much for Android. Yesterday I got a request to convert a font from a previous customer who offered to donate for the service but I decided to do it for free and share it with everyone instead as a way to thank those of you that are still watching what I do and keeping an eye out for new products.
As usual this is a FlipFont so it will only work for Samsung Galaxy devices that support this user friendly customization option.
Don’t forget to check out the Flip Font packs that I have in the Google Play Store
Obviously I am a huge fan of Android as a platform. I stand by it from a productivity standpoint as the most powerful and flexible option on the market, at least for my personal needs. The one major area that always seems so much better on iOS is the mobile gaming category.
The screen shot above is of Clash of the Clans, a game which in my opinion far surpasses anything I have ever played on Android. This game is a multi player online game, so the only real downfall is that there is no offline play. You build your own stronghold but also take part in a “Clan” which has it’s own in game live chat room as well as a Global chat for everyone(I personally find no use for this outside of recruiting new members to your clan). The real benefit of being part of an active and high ranked clan is that members can donate troops to each other to be used in battle or to defend in the even of an attack. For example even if you are only able to make level two archers, you may regularly receive level 5 archers from clan donations.
Another thing I really like about this game is that the “Freemium” model is designed in a way that makes it playable even after the initial amount of game currency is used up, it’s always really frustrating to hit an immovable pay wall in a “free” game after dedicating hours of time advancing and upgrading. I ran into this situation with both Deer Hunter and Contract Killer, which ultimately led to me no longer playing either game. In Clash of the Clans you gain admittedly small increments of gems sporadically through removing trees and shrubs from your game map, and somewhat larger quantities through reaching various achievements.
Suffice it to say that I have found nothing of this caliber on my Android device, so for the time being I will be gaming on iOS.
Recently I have been struggling with an issue related to Go Launcher Ex and Go SMS Pro. It seems that I am not the only theme developer plagued with this issue, and until recently I had no idea how to even approach trying to find a fix. When the theme is loaded onto a device that is running Jelly Bean it doesn’t show up in the menu under installed themes.
The Go Team doesn’t seem to offer much support for their products and on top of that I use a different method for making my Go Launcher Ex themes than the tool they provide. After some of my hair turned grey and then some fell out, I stumbled upon the fact that this issue can be circumvented by installing the apk directly. In other words the problem only seems to occur when the theme is installed directly from the Google Play Store directly.
So if you buy one of my themes or install one previously purchased on a new device running Jelly Bean and find yourself facing this issue, please email me and let me know. I will verify your purchase and then I will send you the apk directly so that you can install it.

I made this widget last weekend for myself to match the icon sets that I was working on. After my Instagram and Twitter posts several people requested that I make it available so here it is
